Our Story
Before I was a mom, I spent years working with kids. I taught martial arts, coached little ones, and later worked as a nanny while studying business at the University of Florida.
As a nanny, I spent a lot of time doing the everyday parts of caring for babies. Feeding them. Washing bottles. Packing bags. Finding the thing that was just in your hand two seconds ago.
And one thing kept bothering me.
The bottle cap never had a good place to go.
It would end up on the counter, in the diaper bag, on the floor, or missing right when it was time to cover the nipple again. It was not dramatic. It was just one more tiny thing to manage during a moment that already had plenty going on.
So I started wondering:
Why doesn’t the cap just attach to the bottle?
That question became Cubby.
The idea started during my nanny years, but becoming a mom made it feel even more obvious. Feeding a baby usually happens with one hand, very little sleep, and about three seconds to solve whatever is happening next.
Cubby was created for that kind of real life.
Not to make feeding perfect. Just to make it feel a little more thought through.
Our Why
Cubby exists because the little things matter.
The tiny inconveniences. The extra parts. The one more thing to wash. The cap you cannot find. The bottle pieces taking over the sink.
None of those things are the biggest problem in the world, but they add up for parents and caregivers who are already keeping track of everything else.
We believe baby products should feel helpful, not overcomplicated. Thoughtful, not fussy. Practical enough for real kitchens, real diaper bags, and real feeds.
That's Cubby a brand that notices the little things and tries to make them better.
